Special Interest Groups

While the primary objective of the AAGL is to advance minimally invasive gynecology, the Board of Trustees, recognizes that some of its members have areas of special interest, and have established Special Interest Groups (SIG) to address the needs of these members.

Each SIG has an executive committee to coordinate the activities of its members.  The following are examples of activities that participants of a SIG may be called upon to do:

  • Participate in grading abstracts for the annual meeting
  • Help organize the SIG's plenary session at the annual meeting
  • Help in planning post-graduate courses
  • Author a clinical opinion for NewsScope
  • Participate in providing a clinical opinion as requested by the AAGL Board
  • Act as an ad hoc reviewer of papers submitted to JMIG
  • Provide an invited comment on a paper published by JMIG
  • Author a JMIG review article
  • Recommend to SIG Executive Committee ways of advancing the group's area of interest
  • Be eligible to participate on the SIG's Executive Committee

The SIG's that are currently being developed are listed below. Please use the email listed to express your interest in participating in the SIG.
