AAGL Profile

The AAGL is the leading association promoting minimally invasive gynecologic surgery among surgeons worldwide. Started in 1971, with the intent to educate and encourage gynecologists to practice minimally invasive procedures, the AAGL has become the premier forum for physicians in this expanding medical arena.

The Association has over 3800 members and is proud to count the foremost authorities in gynecology as part of its membership. The AAGL is truly a global organization. With 30% of its membership comprised of international members from 31 different countries, the Association is recognized worldwide for its publications and meetings. The organization also believes in supporting tomorrows leaders of the field. Through offerings such as free resident membership, and fellowship programs in advanced endoscopy, the AAGL attracts promising young physicians who are at the beginning of their medical careers.
