WATCH ON DEMAND: The New World Order in Surgery: Redesign to Approach Perfection – Dr. Neil Martin

This keynote address from the 42nd AAGL Global Congress on Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery provides an overview of the environmental factors inside and outside medicine that will radically alter surgical practice. The New World Order in Surgery is now being determined in large part by extreme pressure on health care expense. This pressure is accompanied by demands from regulatory agencies, insurance companies, employers, and patients to measure and report publicly meaningful data on safety, quality (outcomes), costs, and patient satisfaction, at the hospital and individual provider level.
