The Minimally Invasive Surgery Course is a cadaver based, hands-on educational program designed to provide an in-depth experience in Gynecologic Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques. It is designed for gynecologic surgeons who desire to advance their laparoscopic skills and knowledge base, and apply these skills to perform more advanced Minimally Invasive Surgeries in their practice. It will include training in laparoscopic suturing techniques, laparoscopic surgical dissection and effective use of laparoscopic instrumentation and electrosurgery. The participants will learn and practice surgical techniques for efficient and safe total laparoscopic hysterectomy and myomectomy, and to prevent and repair incidental bladder and bowel injuries.
