The AAGL vision is to serve women by advancing the safest and most efficacious diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that afford less invasive treatments for gynecologic conditions through the integration of clinical practice, research, innovation, and dialogue.
Since 1971, the AAGL has worked with some of the world’s finest gynecologic surgeons to improve the quality of healthcare services for women everywhere. This global commitment to women’s healthcare is embodied in our continuing medical education of physicians and professionals to further promote the well-documented high standards of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
The AAGL educates by organizing and sponsoring our annual congress and other regional continuing education courses and workshops throughout the United States. In addition to these courses, the AAGL fosters communication between physicians by publishing The Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (JMIG) and our quarterly newsletter NewsScope. The goal of the AAGL is to assist physicians in providing the safest, most therapeutic, and economical surgical care possible for women.
