On Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at 9:00am (PT)  12:00 noon (ET),  Dr. Jon Einarsson presented a live webcast with Q&A on a Laparoscopic Excision of Stage IV Endometriosis case. The event was broadcast live on SurgeryU HD here at AAGL.org.

Learning Objective:

The objective of this event is to demonstrate a systematic approach to the excision of deeply infiltrative endometriosis.

About the patient:

The patient was a 41 year old G3P1 with a 3 year history of left sided pelvic pain, deep dyspareunia, constipation and dysmenorrhea. She also has infertility and is planning an IVF treatment shortly. On exam she was noted to have significant rectovaginal tenderness and nodularity. An ultrasound demonstrated a normal size uterus with a 6 mm thickening behind the cervix. A pelvic MRI demonstrated a 3cm irregular mass extending from the cervix into the cul-de-sac up to the left lateral pelvic sidewall.
