Welcome to AAGL When established in 1971, the AAGL was the first organization ever to be dedicated to gynecological endoscopic surgery. Today, with approximately, 3,800 members and affiliations with 30 other international endoscopic societies, the AAGL remains the world's largest professional association of gynecologists who specialize in the use of minimally invasive procedures for diagnosing and treating disorders of the female reproductive system and pelvic floor. Through education, communication and research, the AAGL has become a premier forum for specialists in this expanding medical arena. The AAGL vision is to serve women by advancing the safest and most efficacious diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that provide less invasive treatments for gynecologic conditions through integration of clinical practice, research, innovation, and dialogue. AAGL works to improve the quality of gynecological health care services for women by promoting and advocating the foremost advances in relevant technology, science and education. We do so by providing the latest medical and scientific information to our membership; fostering communication among clinicians, researchers and allied health care professionals; supporting continuing medical education for physicians; serving as a resource of accurate and timely information for the media; and providing online patient education resources.
